How does CONRAD protect your personal data?

The online store www.conrad.si provides all the necessary technological and organizational solutions for complete purchase security. The transmission of sensitive personal and transaction data on the website is carried out in a secure manner using the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol. The data is encrypted with up to a 256-bit key before it leaves your browser and is transmitted to our server in a protected form. The system thus prevents anyone from intercepting your personal and transaction data that you send to the online store. Credit card data is collected, processed and stored in encrypted form exclusively by our payment service provider Ingenico Payment Services. You can recognize a secure connection by the fact that the address displayed in the browser begins with https://... and not http://..., and a padlock symbol appears in the upper left corner of the window. Our website and other systems are protected by appropriate technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification and dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons.

Conrad Electronic dookd uses your personal data and the information you provide to us to process orders and deliveries of goods, to make payments and to inform you about orders, products, services and offers from Conrad Electronic dookd.

The delivery of the product you order is carried out by an authorized delivery company. For this purpose, we provide the delivery company with your e-mail address and telephone number so that it can inform you about the status of your shipments and the exact delivery time. If you do not want us to provide this data to the delivery company, you can object to the provision of your e-mail address and/or telephone number at any time. We collect, store and process your data for the entire implementation of your purchase, including any subsequent warranties, for our service, technical administration and our own marketing purposes. We may delete your data if this is not contrary to legal retention obligations and if you have requested deletion, if we no longer need the data to fulfill the purpose of the retention or if their retention is inadmissible for other legal reasons.

If your account data is merged due to an automatic or manually initiated duplication check, you agree that the data from the old account (payment history, orders, etc.) will be transferred to the new account.

For each customer who registers properly, we provide direct and password-protected access to their account information stored in our company (customer account). There you can view information about your completed orders and edit your address, bank connection and news information. You undertake to treat your personal access data confidentially and not to pass them on to any unauthorized third party. Our company assumes no liability for the misuse of passwords, unless you yourself are responsible for the misuse. When you stop communicating with us, you must close your browser window or mobile application, especially if you share your computer or mobile devices with other people.

 

How do we use cookies and other technologies?

We also publish our contributions as Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) via Analytics. This means that after a Google search on your smartphone, you may read our articles online, even though they are not on our servers. Instead, a third-party provider such as Google may be publishing the pages directly from the cache. You can recognize this by the fact that the URL from which you accessed this page does not contain our domain name (i.e. our website), but rather the domain name of Google, for example. Google will not change the original text of our page.

If an AMP version of a page is cached by Google or another provider and is accessed from there, we have no influence on the data processing or handling of your IP address. We ensure that we do not collect any personal data via our AMP pages. For this reason, the IP address is transmitted from our site exclusively in an anonymous form.

 

Retargeting

This website uses so-called retargeting technology to collect and store browsing data of website visitors in an anonymous form for marketing purposes. This data is stored on your computer using cookies, text files. The technology analyzes browsing based on an algorithm and can then display targeted product recommendations as interest-based banner ads on other websites (so-called publishers). This data can under no circumstances be used to personally identify visitors to this website. The collected data is used only to improve the offer and not for any other use or transfer to third parties.

 

E-mail retargeting Recheckit

On the website www.conrad.si, data such as the contents of a visitor's shopping cart is collected and stored using the so-called e-mail retargeting technology. The contents of the shopping cart are only stored if the user places a product in the shopping cart, enters their e-mail address and does not complete the purchase. This data can under no circumstances be used to personally identify visitors to this website. The collected data is then used to send an e-mail to the customer as a reminder for an unfinished purchase in the online store www.conrad.si, but not for any other use or transmission to third parties. Using the Facebook Custom Audiences Pixel

To display interest-based advertising messages to visitors to our website on Facebook, we use the Custom Audiences Pixel technology of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (Facebook). For this purpose, we have integrated a Facebook pixel on our website, through which a direct connection is established with the Facebook servers when you visit our website. In order to protect your data as comprehensively as possible, Conrad Electronic dookd uses technical solutions that ensure that data cannot be transmitted via social plugins to the relevant social network operator without your prior activation of the social plugin.

Our websites are initially equipped with deactivated social plugins that do not establish any contact with the servers of Facebook or other social network operators without appropriate activation. If you activate these deactivated plugins by clicking on the Activate social media button in the lower right corner of the website, you consent to the transmission of data to the social networks. After activation, the social plugins establish a connection to the relevant social network. With a further click, you can then download a recommendation within the relevant social network. If you are already logged in to a social network when visiting our websites, no additional login dialog will be displayed under certain circumstances.

In addition to social plugins, our websites also contain simple links to Facebook and YouTube.

Data is only exchanged with the social media operators listed if you click on the corresponding symbol button (e.g. f for Facebook). If you click on such a symbol button, the page of the respective social media operator opens in a pop-up window. There you can publish information about our products in accordance with the provisions of the social media operator.

 

Data transfer via social plugins

If you activate social plug-ins that are deactivated by default, a connection is established to the servers of the social network. Our company has no influence on the extent of the data that the respective social network collects using the social plug-in. According to the information available to us, social networks definitely collect data about which of our websites you have visited in the past or present.
