What is personal data?
Personal data is information that can be assigned to you as an individual. This includes, for example, your name, surname, address, telephone number and email address.
How does CONRAD protect your personal data?
The online store www.conrad.si provides all the necessary technological and organizational solutions for complete purchase security. The transmission of sensitive personal and transaction data on the website is carried out in a secure manner using the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol. The data is encrypted with up to a 256-bit key before it leaves your browser and is transmitted to our server in a protected form. The system thus prevents anyone from intercepting your personal and transaction data that you send to the online store. Credit card data is collected, processed and stored in encrypted form exclusively by our payment service provider Ingenico Payment Services. You can recognize a secure connection by the fact that the address displayed in the browser begins with https://... and not http://..., and a padlock symbol appears in the upper left corner of the window. Our website and other systems are protected by appropriate technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification and dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons.
When and for what is your data used?
When does Conrad Electronic dookd use and process personal data?
We know that careful handling of your personal data is extremely important to you. Because Conrad Electronic dookd pays special attention to data protection, we strictly comply with legal provisions when collecting, processing and using it.
Conrad Electronic dookd uses your personal data and the information you provide to us to process orders and deliveries of goods, to make payments and to inform you about orders, products, services and offers from Conrad Electronic dookd.
The delivery of the product you order is carried out by an authorized delivery company. For this purpose, we provide the delivery company with your e-mail address and telephone number so that it can inform you about the status of your shipments and the exact delivery time. If you do not want us to provide this data to the delivery company, you can object to the provision of your e-mail address and/or telephone number at any time. Even if you no longer want to receive our offers and news, you can unsubscribe by clicking in the footer of the mailing or send your objection to: info@conrad.si.
We collect, store and process your data for the entire implementation of your purchase, including any subsequent warranties, for our service, technical administration and our own marketing purposes. We may delete your data if this is not contrary to legal retention obligations and if you have requested deletion, if we no longer need the data to fulfill the purpose of the retention or if their retention is inadmissible for other legal reasons.
If your account data is merged due to an automatic or manually initiated duplication check, you agree that the data from the old account (payment history, orders, etc.) will be transferred to the new account.
Customer account (login on the website www.conrad.si)
For each customer who registers properly, we provide direct and password-protected access to their account information stored in our company (customer account). There you can view information about your completed orders and edit your address, bank connection and news information. You undertake to treat your personal access data confidentially and not to pass them on to any unauthorized third party. Our company assumes no liability for the misuse of passwords, unless you yourself are responsible for the misuse. When you stop communicating with us, you must close your browser window or mobile application, especially if you share your computer or mobile devices with other people.
How do we use cookies and other technologies?
Cookies are small packets of data that are stored on your computer when you visit a website. The next time you visit, the contents of the cookie are sent back to the server. Our server uses them to "recognize" you the next time you visit. Our server also uses them to "distinguish" between current visitors. We also use cookies (or similar browsing data, e.g. Flash cookies) to identify content on the site. Without cookies enabled, you cannot make a purchase on our website, and several advanced actions (e.g. adding a product to the cart) are also disabled, so we ask you to enable the acceptance of cookies from our website. What is the purpose of cookies? Cookies are responsible for many things, for example, they enable efficient page navigation by saving your choices and generally improving your visit to the website. If our website did not use cookies, you would be considered a new visitor every time you move to a new page; after entering your login details and moving on, the next page would not recognise you, so you would have to log in again.
Cookies can also:
1. Store the contents of your shopping cart as you move through the checkout process;
2. Store your account login details so you can see information about your orders and manage your account;
3. Record which parts of our website you have visited and how long you stayed there, as well as which products you have viewed and which ones you have purchased.
All of this information helps us to improve our website to make it easier to use and to optimise the services we offer to our customers. This also helps us to determine recommended products and offers on the website.
Are cookies safe?
Yes, cookies are completely safe. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not themselves contain information that could identify you (identification is possible exceptionally if the information is combined with other data, as described below for performance cookies). Cookies also do not contain personal information, such as your email address or payment details.
Can I turn off cookies?
We use cookies to make our website easier to use and to provide you with the best possible service. Cookies are essential for the operation of our website, so we recommend that you enable them to ensure efficient use of the website. If you disable cookies, some parts of the website will not work. However, if you still want to disable or block cookies from this website, you can do so using the settings on our website and in your browser.

List and description of the cookies we use:
1. Technical cookies
Some cookies are absolutely necessary for you to navigate our website smoothly and use certain required features, such as allowing the site to remember the contents of your shopping cart or recognize you when you log in to the site.
2. Analysis cookies
Analytics cookies collect information about how you use our website, such as which pages you visit, which products you view, how long you stay on the site, etc. These cookies do not collect information that can be used to identify you as a visitor, although they may collect the IP address of the device you used to connect to the website. Some of the information collected may be used in conjunction with your personal information, but only if you have registered on our website. We use all information collected solely to measure the effectiveness of our websites and to improve the presentation of content.
3. Functional cookies
Functional cookies are used to store the settings you have selected on our website. This makes it easier for us to provide you with the services you want and make your visit more enjoyable.
4.Targeting and advertising cookies
Targeting and advertising cookies are used to present our products that may be of interest to you based on which parts of our website you have viewed. The table below lists the cookies we use and the data we record in them. We use these cookies to measure traffic to our online store, response to marketing campaigns, and subscriber response to newsletters.
Using Google reCaptcha
To protect our online services, we use so-called Captchas to determine whether the user is a human or a machine. This way, we can determine whether the entries were made by humans or machines, which are often misused. Since this query is called by a Google server, it sets a cookie for you during the query. You can find more information about the Google Captcha data protection policy here .
Google (Universal) Analytics
This website and mobile applications use Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (Google). Google (Universal) Analytics uses so-called cookies, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the USA. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will first shorten your IP address within the member states of the European Union and in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google (Universal) Analytics will not be associated with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use some of the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing it by downloading and installing the browser add-on available at the following link.
Instead of installing the add-on or if you visit our website via a mobile device, click on the following Google-(Universal)-Analytics opt-out link to prevent the future collection of data on this website by Google (Universal) Analytics (the opt-out only works in the browser and for this domain). An opt-out cookie will be placed on your computer. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will need to click on this link again.
We use Google (Universal) Analytics together with Universal Analytics functions, which allow us to analyze the activities on our websites across devices (for example, when accessed via a laptop and then via a tablet). This is made possible by assigning a pseudonymous user ID to the user. This assignment occurs, for example, if you register for a customer account or log in to your account. We use an anonymous ID for non-logged-in users. We do not transmit any personal data to Google in this process. Although Universal Analytics uses additional functions in addition to the functions of Google (Universal) Analytics, this does not limit data protection measures such as IP masking or browser add-ons. We only carry out session extensions of logged-in and non-logged-in user sessions if our users have not withdrawn their consent to such session extensions via a browser add-on or by clicking on the Google-(Universal)-Analytics opt-out link, or if such combination is permitted under applicable laws and regulations.
Our website uses Optimize 360 (https://www.google.com/analytics/optimize/) to determine statistical values for the use of our offers . Anonymous measurement values are collected. The tests use cookies to identify computer systems, the validity of which is limited to the duration of the test. IP addresses are not stored in this process.
For the sake of transparency, please note that we use Google Tag Manager. This does not collect any personal data, but rather makes it easier for us to integrate and manage our tags. Tags are small pieces of code that are used, among other things, to measure traffic and user behavior, collect the effects of online advertising and social channels, set up remarketing and target group targeting, and test and optimize websites. For more information about Google Tag Manager, see https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html .
We also publish our contributions as Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) via Analytics. This means that after a Google search on your smartphone, you may read our articles online, even though they are not on our servers. Instead, a third-party provider such as Google may be publishing the pages directly from the cache. You can recognize this by the fact that the URL from which you accessed this page does not contain our domain name (i.e. our website), but rather the domain name of Google, for example. Google will not change the original text of our page.
If an AMP version of a page is cached by Google or another provider and is accessed from there, we have no influence on the data processing or handling of your IP address. We ensure that we do not collect any personal data via our AMP pages. For this reason, the IP address is transmitted from our site exclusively in an anonymous form.
Retargeting
This website uses so-called retargeting technology to collect and store browsing data of website visitors in an anonymous form for marketing purposes. This data is stored on your computer using cookies, text files. The technology analyzes browsing based on an algorithm and can then display targeted product recommendations as interest-based banner ads on other websites (so-called publishers). This data can under no circumstances be used to personally identify visitors to this website. The collected data is used only to improve the offer and not for any other use or transfer to third parties.
E-mail retargeting Recheckit
On the website www.conrad.si, data such as the contents of a visitor's shopping cart is collected and stored using the so-called e-mail retargeting technology. The contents of the shopping cart are only stored if the user places a product in the shopping cart, enters their e-mail address and does not complete the purchase. This data can under no circumstances be used to personally identify visitors to this website. The collected data is then used to send an e-mail to the customer as a reminder for an unfinished purchase in the online store www.conrad.si, but not for any other use or transmission to third parties. If you wish to object to the use of this technology, you can click on the personal link SIGN UP HERE in each e-mail.
Using the Facebook Custom Audiences Pixel
To display interest-based advertising messages to visitors to our website on Facebook, we use the Custom Audiences Pixel technology of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (Facebook). For this purpose, we have integrated a Facebook pixel on our website, through which a direct connection is established with the Facebook servers when you visit our website. In this process, the information that you have visited our website is transferred to the Facebook server.
Social plugins/links to social media operators
We use so-called social plugins of the following social networks (hereinafter: social networks) on our websites:
- Facebook (operator: Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA)
Activating social plugins
In order to protect your data as comprehensively as possible, Conrad Electronic dookd uses technical solutions that ensure that data cannot be transmitted via social plugins to the relevant social network operator without your prior activation of the social plugin.
Our websites are initially equipped with deactivated social plugins that do not establish any contact with the servers of Facebook or other social network operators without appropriate activation. If you activate these deactivated plugins by clicking on the Activate social media button in the lower right corner of the website, you consent to the transmission of data to the social networks. After activation, the social plugins establish a connection to the relevant social network. With a further click, you can then download a recommendation within the relevant social network. If you are already logged in to a social network when visiting our websites, no additional login dialog will be displayed under certain circumstances.
In addition to social plugins, our websites also contain simple links to Facebook and YouTube.
Data is only exchanged with the social media operators listed if you click on the corresponding symbol button (e.g. f for Facebook). If you click on such a symbol button, the page of the respective social media operator opens in a pop-up window. There you can publish information about our products in accordance with the provisions of the social media operator.
Data transfer via social plugins
If you activate social plug-ins that are deactivated by default, a connection is established to the servers of the social network. Each social plug-in then transmits the data to the respective social network. Our company has no influence on the extent of the data that the respective social network collects using the social plug-in. According to the information available to us, social networks definitely collect data about which of our websites you have visited in the past or present. With each activated social plug-in, a cookie with a unique identifier is set each time the respective website is accessed. In this way, the social network can create a profile of your user behavior. It cannot be ruled out that such a profile can also be assigned to you if you register for the first time on the social network later.
If you are already logged in to a particular social network when you visit our websites, the operator of this social network may assign the visit to your personal account as soon as you activate the social plug-ins that are deactivated by default. When using the functions of social plug-ins (such as the Like button or posting a comment), the data about this is transmitted directly to the relevant social network via your browser and stored there. The same applies to calling up the website of the social media operator by clicking on the relevant button with the symbol.
If you are not registered with any social network, there is still the possibility that the social networks collect and store data about your IP address and data about the server and operating system you are using after activating the social plug-in. Information on the scope and purpose of the collection, processing and use of data by the social networks, as well as information on your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in the data protection notices of the relevant social network. These are available at the following addresses:
Facebook Data Protection Notice
If you are registered with a particular social network and wish to restrict the collection of data on our websites and the combination of your user data with data relating to you stored on the social network, you must log out of the social network before visiting our website.
We recommend that you use appropriate add-ons for the browser you are using, if necessary (for example, the so-called Facebook Blocker). Unfortunately, we cannot assume responsibility for the effectiveness of such solutions.
E-novice
Our e-newsletters are analyzed using technology from Insist doo, Agnitas, based on the percentage of opened and unopened emails and clicks. If you wish to object to the use of this technology, you can click on the personal link UNSIGN UP HERE in each e-mail. If you do this, the Agnitas system will save the information and no further user data will be stored from this e-mail address in the future.
Prijavna stran za sledenje
In order to ensure a consistent and user-friendly login, the consent to the use of cookies and similar technologies (e.g. for Google Analytics) given on conrad.si is transferred to the login area on our subdomain accounts.conrad.com. The transfer is made exclusively for the login process and is based on a secure domain-specific assignment. The consent is not extended to other Conrad websites.
